Holiday Bell Ringer’s

I don’t know about you, but these people scare the shit out of me.
Now, I may catch some slack about this but I don’t really care. This is MY blog.
Seriously, where do these people come from? They are the oddest bunch you could ever come up with. When I have to go into a store that has one in front, I make sure I get my change together before I get out of the car and I throw it in the red kettle as I run by.
They just freak me out.

They are usually people who live at the Salvation Army Shelters, hence the scary!
Some are also people serving out community service sentences.
Judge says “ditch the gun! Wave a BELL at people and say “GIVE ME YO! MONEY!!! HO HO HO!!!”
Don’t get me wrong. I know what the mission of the SA is but DAMN!!!!
Isn’t the purpose to bring people in and not run them off.
I went to several stores today and there was a damn bell ringer at everyone of them. They look at you like you’re selfish and stingy but I was just hit up at 3 other stores.
It’s been a difficult day.
I always feel like they are “the newspaper boy” from John Cusack’s movie “Better Off Dead”. “TWO DOLLARS!!!”
Then I get a visual of an army of thousands pouring over a hillside on horses, bells raised high for battle!!! HA
